Select a project

Read before you start. This is a practical submission workshop. You answer a structured survey; it writes a high-impact submission you paste into the official form. Nothing is stored on a server unless you explicitly choose to send a copy to CBA. This is not legal advice, not a petition, and not an official Auckland Council / Auckland Transport / NZTA channel.

Legal framework

The law, in plain English.

This page is not legal advice. It explains the rules that govern a submission on this transport consultation so you can write one that carries weight. The Act named here switches on the selected project's process type, it is not Plan Change 120.

Your submission right

Anyone may submit on a transport consultation. You do not need to own property on the corridor or live in the area.

The governing Act

Check the official project page for the governing Act and decision-maker. The workshop header names the Act once an admin sets the process type.

Effects-based feedback

Relevant effects for a transport project: safety, access, delay, network function, freight and servicing, loading, stormwater and overland flow, amenity and streetscape, and construction disruption. Property value and house prices are generally not a relevant consideration. Say so plainly: a submission built on house prices will be given little weight.

No automatic hearing right

Confirm the process on the official project page. The workshop shows the being-heard question only when the process type carries a real hearing right.

The decision

The decision-maker is named on the official project page.

Privacy

On most statutory processes your name and contact details on a submission become public by law. The workshop stores your draft only in your browser unless you opt in to send a copy to CBA.

The honest test: a submission that says "I oppose this project" with no street, no map, and no decision sought is close to worthless. The submissions that move a project say: this street, this element, this effect, this amendment.

Transport Submission Workshop

A practical submission workshop for Auckland transport consultations. Not a petition, not a campaign, not legal advice. You paste the result into the project's official form. CBA does not lodge it for you.
