What we collect and why
- Account email and name, to operate a paid support account and send receipts. Legal basis: contract.

- Server logs and basic analytics. We do not sell personal information.
Who sees it
Staff and the director. A council or agency only if you ask us to include your name on a formal submission, or if the law requires disclosure. Hosting is via Base44 and the email provider used for receipts. Overseas storage may occur. We do not transfer information for unrelated marketing.
How long
Account records for the life of the account plus seven years for tax. Petition emails for 24 months after the related submission, then deleted unless a dispute is open. Evidence audit fields kept with the public record. You may ask for access or correction under principles 6 and 7. Complaints can go to the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Commercial email complies with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007: identification, a working unsubscribe, and consent. A petition confirmation is not consent to a newsletter.
This statement is an operational notice, not legal advice. Have a New Zealand privacy lawyer review it before you next collect petition emails.
